Documentary Feature (Submit online link.)
Documentary is a non-fictional motion picture intended to document some aspect of reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction or maintaining a historical record. Documentary is a broad category of visual expression that is based on the attempt, in one fashion or another, to document reality: a creative work of non-fiction, intended for cinema or TV release. 
Any Documentary Film over 75 mins. will be considered in this category.

Any type of film that is animated and over 75 mins. will be considered in this category.
 
Experimental Feature (Submit online link.)
Experimental is an artistic film creation relying less on traditional narrative structure and more on the visual arts and the essence of non-traditional cinema. Any Experimental film over 75 mins. will be considered in this category.
 
Music Feature (Submit online link.)
Music is an art form, entertainment, or activity which involves organized sound and varies according to culture. Any film that primarily makes use of music in its creation, performance, significance, and even its definition, will be considered in this category.
 
Foreign Language Feature (Submit online link.)
Any film in a language other than English.

Any Documentary film under 75 mins. will be considered in this category.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
 
The main objective of the World International Film Festival (WIFF) is to provide the opportunity for filmmakers from all over the world to excel, and to have the best work selected and showcased in a celebration of cinema, as well as to give filmmakers a platform to network amongst fellow professionals and cinematic artists. The World International Film Festival is looking forward to fostering these relationships and to helping extraordinary filmmakers get their projects seen by global audiences. WIFF unites cinematic, cultural, and educational objectives by presenting its film discoveries. 
 
 
The World International Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing new and innovative films while fostering the next generation of filmmakers. It is a strong advocate for social change, and encourages cultural diversity and understanding between nations. It strives to foster the movie art of all continents by stimulating the development of quality cinema and promoting meetings between cinema professionals from around the world.
  
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
 
The World International Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing the spirit, passion, and skill of the best new filmmakers from around the world for audiences around the world.
 
We are also including and actively supporting not only the finest examples of classic moviemaking, but works that are experimental, breaking ground in new non-narrative forms and crossing over into the video arts.
 
All films will be reviewed as they are submitted, and the best in each category will be chosen to screen at the festival. A jury of industry professionals will then view the finalists and choose the winning selections.
 
Filmmakers planning on attending should notify the film festival as soon as possible, so their names may be listed in the scheduled program at the venue where their film will be shown.
 
A substantial number of accredited national and international press, TV and film buyers and distributors also participate.
 
Final jurors for the World International Film Festival will come from a selection of industry professionals in film production, distribution, new media, and festival programming from Sundance, AFI, Slamdance, SXSW, and more.
  
GENERAL RULES
 
Submission Guidelines:
 
The World International Film Festival accepts online screeners for submission purposes. Entries should be submitted by secure password-protected internet link to the work on: Vimeo.com or YouTube.com. The link must not be visible to the public.
 
Works in progress will not be considered for competition or screened at the film festival. 
 
An electronic press kit must be submitted to the World International Film Festival via email: info@worldinternationalfilmfestival.com
 
The filmmaker(s) must secure all rights, licenses, clearances, and releases necessary for exhibition. Work may originate in any film, video, or digital medium. All footage must be original. The music must be original or licensed. You must certify receipt of any and/or all releases and/or permissions. 
 
All works made in a language other than English must be dubbed or subtitled in English. 
Please do not send any paper press kits, other print materials, DCP’s, Blu-rays, or DVD’s unless they are requested by the festival.
 
All entry materials become the property of the World International Film Festival and will not be returned. 
 
There are no refunds of entry fees.
 
After you submit your work for review online, the link must not expire until after you are notified of the jury panel's selections.
 
Press kits, screenplays must be submitted in English.
 
 
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION GUIDE
 
If your work is selected, we will post it on our website and notify you by e-mail. 
We will notify you if you are not accepted as well.
Screenplays and Press Kits must be submitted in English.
Screenplays and Press Kits must be submitted in one of the following file formats:
Microsoft Word (.doc), PDF (.pdf), Final Draft (.fdr, .fdx, .fds), Rich Text (.rtf), Plain Text (.txt).
The trailer (teaser),  must be submitted in the following file formats: HD [1080p] and be uploaded on youtube.com.
 
AWARDS
 
The World International Film Festival presents over $30,000 in cash awards to filmmakers in competition, as determined by the awards jury.

RETURN OF MATERIALS
 
We will not return screener materials.
The World International Film Festival does not give waivers or discounts.
The World International Film Festival does not pay any rental fees for submitted work.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
 
LOSS & DAMAGE
 
Every precaution will be taken to safeguard films, videos, and publicity materials while they are in the possession of the World International Film Festival. However, if loss or damage occurs, the film festival cannot accept or assume responsibility.
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
 
All non-English films must have English subtitles.
Only one online submission per film is accepted.
 
By submitting my film, I am indicating that I understand, comply with and agree to the Terms of Entry and the eligibility requirements. 
Submissions are only accepted through our Filmfreeway or other online accounts.
An entrant must accept our prescreening process;
 
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless World International Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
 
Apply online via FilmFreeway to our Festival and, after fully completing the online entry form, click “submit”. Please note the online entry form will require you to submit a password-protected URL that links to your film in order to be completed, so plan accordingly and be sure the film has been fully uploaded and the link and password work prior to filling out your online entry form.
 
All physical entry materials received by the Festival will not be returned and will be destroyed or discarded by the Festival.
 
Great care will be taken with entries while with us, however we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage incurred en route, or due to normal wear and tear
 
By submitting a film through FilmFreeway, the Filmmaker agree to grant the Festival the right to use the title, synopsis, and trailer of the Film for advertisement purposes, including use of those materials on the Festival's website. The links to submission screeners should be publicly closed.
